Short-Term Rental Licences Required In Gravenhurst In 2023

25 November 202219 December 2022

Short Term Rental unit owners can now apply for a short-term rental license in Gravenhurst.

Licenses require an online application and a $750 annual fee. The license runs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023.

Kristen Ford, Manager of Bylaw Services says that “Along with the new by-laws being implemented, those who operate a Short Term Rental are still expected to follow other municipal by-laws that address many of the problematic behaviours” which include noise, parking, property standards, dark sky lighting, and open burning.”

The town’s new administrative monetary penalty system by-law will allow by-law officers to enforce regulatory requirements without going through the provincial offences court in the new year.
