TICO Membership – Members shall display their TICO registration number on websites and other public platforms as appropriate. (TICO Advisory – Short Term Accommodation Rentals)
Occupancy – limit number of occupants according to size of home and local ordinance
Advertising – accurately advertise the quality of each property and provide adequate information, including limitations and deficiencies on each property that will enable a guest to make a satisfactory choice
Pricing – members shall publish all rates and extra fees accurately and make these rates available to all guests prior to arrival. Members agree to fully disclose all other fees and taxes that apply to every guest reservation
Emergency Contact – members shall publish their contact information, normal business hours, and emergency contact information at each property. Must respond to emergencies within reasonable time.
Customer Service – members shall provide the best possible customer service, responding to questions, requests and problems in a timely manner.
Good Neighbour Commitment – members agree to a “Good Neighbour” policy in the management of their short term rental properties by minimizing impact on neighbours and neighbourhoods. Members shall publish established quiet hours for all properties
Property Conditions – members shall inspect each property prior to listing and to commit to a regular inspection programme.
Website – members agree to provide accurate information with updated pictures, clear pricing, rental agreement and availability calendar.
Insurance – members must maintain corporate liability insurance and satisfy themselves that each property is covered by adequate liability insurance.
Guest Education – members must ensure guests are informed of essential details pursuant to vacationing in cottage country including but not limited to noise ordinance, septic operations, boundaries, garbage disposal.
