Yesterday, Muskoka Lakes Council approved a Short Term Rental Accommodation Licensing By-Law for the municipality. While the by-law has been approved, it will not come into effect until January 1, 2025.
The licensing program was initiated by the Township to ensure all rentals preserve neighbourhood character and operate safely and in accordance with Fire Protection Standards and the Ontario Building Code.
